To obtain the most accurate results from a clinical study, participants must fulfill certain criteria in order to take part.
For example, your child:

Must frequently have restrictive and/or repetitive behaviors that interfere with his/her daily life and require at least a substantial support.

Must be within a specific
age range (2 to < 7 years)

Should not currently receive
certain medications.

Must have moderate or severe difficulties in social communication that require at least a substantial support in his/her daily life.
To participate in one of the two studies, your child may need to have more checks or tests than usual, and each research visit may last longer than usual, that is the reason why your participation may be time-consuming for you and your child.
Before you accept that your child takes part, you will receive an informed consent document that will give you enough information about the study so that potential benefits and risks can be understood.
You will need to sign this informed consent document before your child starts participating in the study. Signing the document and giving consent is not a contract. You will be free to withdraw your consent at any time, even if the study is not over yet. Your child will receive information on the study adapted to his/her level of understanding from the research team. After signature of the informed consent, and if your child fulfills all study criteria, the research team will enroll him/her in the study.
